Yes, Noah Maze will be here this November! Friday the 21st through Sunday the 23rd!

Once again, Noah will lead us through his one-of-a-kind asana classes Friday through Sunday, and stick around to help us hone our teaching skills in 2, day-long teaching labs.

Noah has long been known internationally as a teacher’s teacher, and has lovingly fine tuned his ability to share his teaching mastery with others. This year, the teaching labs will focus on cracking the code of the body through skillful sequencing. Day One, Saturday, will look at the foundational principles of sequencing, and Day Two, Sunday, at the unique questions and concerns of smart, effective sequencing for vinyasa classes.

Schedule

Friday, Nov 21, 6:30 to 8 pm  – Asana
Saturday, Nov 22, 12:30-2 pm – Asana 2 – 7:30pm  Teaching Lab (this presumes a 2 hour lunch break – estimated time 3:30 to 5:30)
Sunday, Nov 23, Noon – 1:30 pm Asana 1:30-6:30pm Teaching Lab (this presumes a 1 hour lunch break – estimated time 3-4pm)

Price

Whole weekend - Asana only - $90
Saturday asana & labs – $105
Sunday asana and labs – $115

Whole weekend – Teaching Labs and Asana – $240!

What To Expect

This is going to be a rich couple of days folks, packed full of learning and doing. The three asana classes will be designed to illustrate the principles being taught in the labs – so be sure to do the whole weekend if you are participating in the teacher training.

It will flow something like this:

On Friday evening, Noah will teach an mixed level asana class with vinyasa and hatha elements. Poses sequenced for student progress with an assumption (but not a requirement) of full weekend participation. This will be a grounding sequence appropriate for an evening practice.

On Saturday morning, Noah will teach a mixed level asana class with vinyasa and hatha elements.  Expect an energizing sequence appropriate for a morning practice, with elements carried over from Friday’s practice. Again, the class will be sequenced for student progress with an assumption (but not a requirement) of full weekend participation. Friday and Saturday classes will both inform Sunday’s practice.

The Saturday afternoon teacher’s session will unpack the sequencing principles from Friday and Saturdays asana classes, with lecture and Q and A immediately following practice. Contemplation and inquiry will be assigned for your lunch break, with a final session of lecture and practicum to wrap up the day.

Sunday asana will be pure vinyasa, informed by the work we’ve done so far.

The Sunday afternoon teaching lab will explore sequencing principles specific to vinyasa classes, and will flow much the same as Saturday.

Topics Covered Over the Weekend  Will Include:

• Sequencing for Mixed Level Classes
• Sequencing for Student Progress in One Class and Over Time
• Weaving Form, Foundation in Precision into the Flow
• Learning New & Healthy Biomechanical Approaches to Vinyasa
• Pacing & Pulse: the Dance of Holding & Flowing
• Sustainable Sequencing

And one very low price of $240 buys you a ticket for the whole shebang.

This mini TT will be a nourishing and flavor-packed morsel you will be chewing on for years to come. We have broken down and prorated the sessions, and each can absolutely stand alone on its own, but I cannot stress enough the cumulative value of doing the whole thing. It’s worth subbing out your class, or finding a place to stay in town over night.
